Do you know what this car is? I had no idea, so I sent this picture to my friend Earl and he wrote the following:
"It is a 1937 Ford slant-back (no bump for a decent sized trunk). It has a nice clean design, smooth and (heaven forbid that Ford was actually thinking of such a thing back then) aerodynamic for good gas mileage and higher top speed (at gasoline of 18 cents a gallon, mileage was important.).
Notice the upside-down teardrop shaped headlight glass - no sealed beams until later.
FYI the windshield wipers on cars in those days were powered by a vacuum-driven motor. When do you REALLY need good wiper action? In a heavy rain when you are climbing a steep hill. When does an engine have the least vacuum available for use by accessories like a windshield wiper? When you are climbing a steep hill!!!"
Did you get it right? I thought it was a Chevy! Thanks Earl, as you can see, I did not know!
