A Tiny Police Car

I finished my tiny police car. This tiny car has a bright "Kojak" light, a shiny gold star on the door and four wheels to make it speed down the highway.. It's good to have a vivid imagination to make these little toys work.

Toys and Things

Penny the Piggie joined the menagerie for a little bit of time. She's "learning" how to be a piggie so she will know
what to do when she reaches her forever home.
In the meantime, Jumbo the HUGE elephant joined Neon. For some reason, I don't know why,
Jumbo is 1/3 larger than Neon. He lives in the other DrC's office.
Lastly, something practical...a set of 3 nesting crocheted baskets...they are perfect for collecting mail, or keys, or
what-nots that appear on tables and shelves when you least expect them. Next project is a police car...watch this space.

Desert Snow

The Mojave is filled with surprises. When you least expect it to snow...it snows. The weather guessers said we had a 70% chance of rain the other day. Turns out we had a 100% chance of snow. We needed to drive to St. George thru the Virgin River Narrows and we were experiencing near white out conditions. As you can see from the first picture, there's a red car in the median going the wrong direction. Going home from St. George thru the black of night, the conditions were worse. The big trucks which speed up and down I-15 were slowed to 40 to 45 mph. It was impossible to see 5 feet ahead.
The next morning, we awakened to snowy mountains in the background and our typical desert landscape. It's still cold and there is a dusting of snow on the mountains around town.In addition, as soon as the sun starts to fall below the horizon, a cool permeates the air.

Of Balloons, Piggies and iPads

There's lots of stuff going on...like spy balloons  drifting over our country...or shooting down unknown objects...these are things of which I know little. I do know about piggies and iPads. To that end, I finished a "pequeno porkita"

Which I can assure you is NOT gathering data about important information to anyone or anything
As for the iPad...that's anyone's guess as to what it is transmitting. My last new iPad was purchased in 2017. I bought the biggest model I could get and it took me 5 years to fill it up and wear it out. The battery no longer held a charge; the memory was filled and it was no longer able to update to the latest greatest software package. It was time to make the change. I bought an iPadPro with 2 terabytes of storage. (Do you realize the size of  two terabytes of storage? 2 terabytes of information is about FOUR MILLION pictures; or ONE THOUSAND hours of full length movies; or FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND word files. Two terabytes is a LOT of information.) I was dreading transferring data from old iPad to new iPad but the nice folks at Apple had it figured out. I backed up the old iPad. I turned on the new iPad and placed it beside the old iPad. I followed a couple of very simple directions and in less than an hour ALL THE OLD DATA was on the new iPad. No pain at all. I'm a happy camper.
I did not buy the required Apple Keyboard but an after-market keyboard case from Amazon that I liked better. It's fun to have the latest greatest iPad which will remain state of the art for about 30 seconds before the next latest greatest iPad is developed. In the meantime, I'll work away on my iPad (which I happen to like better than a laptop computer.)

Let's Go Camping

My latest toy is a tiny SUV with a camper on the back. It's finished, but still in the final design stage. These little toys are so much fun to make. The goal is to "square" it with reality, which is difficult as yarn and stuffing are not very square. Keep watching this space, the perfect little toy will appear in a bit of time.

Another Lambie

Lambies are the most difficult critter I make (as of now) and tonight I finished another one.
She's a soft little critter just waiting to live with my new friend Karen. We'll officially name her tomorrow
She is a pretty little lambie pie.
