My PT person told me I could use a cane instead of a walker...so I tried it. I went out on Friday using the cane and discovered it's very difficult. The boot is slippery and the lift is not stable. That's an accident waiting to happen. I went back to using the walker. Yesterday I went out with the walker which is stable. When I get out of the boot and the shoe lift, I'll practice using the cane, but for now, the walker is the answer. BTW, my cane is named Michael.
