General Musings

We've been "on the railroad" for 8 days. In that time we have ridden at least 50 trains of all varieties--narrow and standard gauge; rack/cog assisted; steam, diesel, or electric; trams and gondolas; as well as lake boats and the famous Swiss Post Bus. It's been a heck of a ride!

Each day Geoff, our guide, has planned a different train trip to see something wonderful. 

The trains are all good.

The scenery is even better, especially if your are a lover of tall mountains. Swiss mountains are

incredible. 

The Matterhorn, Eiger and Jungfrau are spectacular! Their sheer size boggles the mind!

It's fun to look out the train window and see beauty all around. 

Tomorrow we are heading for lucerne by train and steam boat. The adventure continues.
